About the Role

As the Computer Systems Administrator, you will lead and manage the school's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team and operations, ensuring the day-to-day management of ICT systems is conducted professionally and aligns with departmental priorities.

Your Responsibilities

As the Computer Systems Administrator, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the College's ICT team and daily ICT operations, ensuring our systems are robust, secure, and aligned with Department of Education standards and initiatives.
  • You will provide expert technical advice, support innovative digital learning environments, and ensure staff and students have access to high-quality, reliable technology.
  • Providing high-level strategic advice, analysis, and support to the school leadership team regarding ICT operations and future planning.
  • Leading the ICT team, coordinating workloads, performance reviews, and promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and service.
  • Managing and maintaining network infrastructure, servers, and systems in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Implementing and maintaining ICT solutions and emerging technologies to meet school needs and support innovative teaching practices.
  • Overseeing procurement, stock control, and asset management for all ICT hardware and software.
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety and data security standards.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to staff and students to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Monitoring system performance, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining service level standards.
  • To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Strong technical expertise in ICT systems administration, including network and server management.
  • The ability to lead a small team and manage resources effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships across the College.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and supporting digital learning environments.
  • Knowledge of relevant departmental policies, procurement processes, and ICT governance frameworks.
