BDS Mechanical is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team at our Gold Coast headquarters. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, while maintaining strong relationships with our valued vendors and supporting the wider finance team.

BDS Mechanical Repairs AUS is a family-owned and rapidly growing business providing mechanical, auto electrical, and welding repairs both in-house and onsite. With 19 fixed workshop locations and over 140 field service units across Queensland, our team covers more than 600,000 km² — meaning we're never too far away.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment runs in line with company terms.
  • Maintain supplier accounts and promptly address queries or discrepancies.
  • Perform monthly creditor reconciliations and reporting.
  • Assist with month-end processes, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policy.
  • Support the finance team with general accounting and administrative duties.
  • Provide backup support to the Accounts Receivable function as required.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MYOB, Excel, and Outlook (or similar accounting systems).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and meet deadlines.
