Your Role
To validate restoration and building quotes and cost estimates for small to medium properties across both residential and commercial projects for Property Claims. This role can be based in either North Sydney or Melbourne.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections as necessary to evaluate damage and confirm scopes of work and related costs.
- Analyze scopes of work to comprehend repair needs and methodologies.
- Collaborate with panel contractors to ensure repair expenses align with contracted rates.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards.
- Possess experience in the construction process, including critical inspection milestones, permit requirements, and workplace health and safety (WHS) protocols.
- Customer Focus – Prioritize understanding and fulfilling customer needs by actively gathering information to ascertain the circumstances, issues, expectations, and requirements of internal and external clients.
- Organisational Management – Efficiently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines by effectively allocating time and resources, managing multiple assignments concurrently.

Your Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in construction estimating for residential and commercial properties.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while navigating conflicting priorities.
- Experience engaging directly with policyholders, builders, building consultants, and trades/suppliers.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the construction lifecycle, including handover processes and WHS regulations.
- Proficient understanding of applicable building codes and Australian standards.
- Capacity to work independently.
- IT proficiency.Possession of a current builder's license or relevant building trade license.
