We are on the lookout for a dedicated and driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the day-to-day operations and help lead our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their hospitality career.

Job Description

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, support staff development, maintain service excellence, and ensure smooth kitchen and front-of-house coordination. You'll be a role model for the team and help maintain our brand's high standards in all areas.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support:

  • Assist in managing restaurant operations including kitchen, service, and shift performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Pappa Flock's operational and brand standards.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise and support team members during service.
  • Help train new staff, provide ongoing coaching, and maintain a positive team culture.
  • Lead shifts with confidence, making real-time decisions to ensure smooth flow and guest satisfaction.

Guest Experience:

  • Maintain excellent customer service by resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure the restaurant is always clean, safe, and welcoming.

Inventory & Financial Support:

  • Assist in stock control, ordering, and managing inventory.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in meeting labour, food cost, and sales targets.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to food safety, WHS, and cleanliness standards.
  • Lead by example in hygiene, safety, and workplace behaviour.

About You

You'll be a great fit if you have:

  • Previous experience in hospitality or QSR, ideally in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • A hands-on approach and can-do attitude.
  • A passion for providing great food and guest experiences.
  • Understanding of WHS and food safety regulations.
  • Availability to work across weekends, nights, and peak periods.
