Avalon Head Office Position Available – Project Coordinator

Avalon Group WA requires an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team at our head office in Geraldton, Western Australia.

About the role:

  • Permanent Full Time Position

  • Monday to Friday

  • Geraldton head office based

  • Immediate start available

- Pay rate will reflect the applicant's skills, experience, and qualifications, and is open to negotiation.

What you will need:

  • Excellent references

  • Strong MS Office skills – MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

  • Must be self-motivated, show initiative, be able to multi-task and manage priorities effectively to meet deadlines

  • Able to work in a fast-moving, and frequently changing environment

  • Experience in a Project or Mining Admin/Coordinator position is advantageous but not essential

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for project-related queries, ensuring clear and effective communication between internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Liaise daily with supervisors and operators to ensure all site related information is correct

  • Oversee the accurate processing and timely submission of timesheets and leave for all project personnel

  • Daily, weekly and monthly administrative and financial data entry, analysis and verification for a number of mining and civil construction projects

  • Prepare Daily and monthly project summaries and review of claims – analysis and reporting

  • Providing detailed updates to Management Team

  • Prepare monthly claims and reconcile project expenses

  • Liaise with HR on recruitment and onboarding of personnel

  • Coordinating mobilisation logistics for site personnel and plant - including arranging travel and accommodation

  • Other general business & project administration activities as required
