About the role
We are seeking an Environmental Advisor to join our Lake MacLeod Team. Working a 5/2, 4/3 dayshift residential roster, the Environmental Advisor will provide expert guidance and support to ensure environmental compliance and promote a strong culture of environmental stewardship. It will also be instrumental in implementing and improving our Environmental Management System (EMS), conducting environmental monitoring programs, and conducting audits and inspections.
Key responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and improve the site's EMS, including site-specific management plans and procedures.
- Conduct environmental monitoring programs (water, dust, noise, waste, rehabilitation) and report findings.
- Lead site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with mining approvals, licences, and permits.
- Coordinate environmental incident and spill response, investigations, corrective actions, and reporting.
- Provide coaching, toolbox talks, and training to promote environmental awareness across the site.
- Ensure contractor compliance with site environmental standards.
- Support biodiversity and cultural heritage initiatives, including flora and fauna surveys and land disturbance permits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting energy efficiency, emissions reduction, water stewardship, and rehabilitation success

What we?re looking for
- Certificate IV Environment/ Monitoring or similar discipline.
- While not essential a Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field is desirable.
- 2-5 years' experience in field-based roles, completing monitoring, sampling, mapping or testing.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals, and compliance.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Ability to engage effectively with all personnel on site at all levels.
- Basic to intermediate MS suite skills.
