This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, supplier statement reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls. The position also involves coordinating payment runs, liaising with suppliers, supporting month-end close, and assisting with audits. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior team members and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify supplier invoices in line with company policies.
  • Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Coordinate weekly/bi-weekly payment runs and support cash flow planning.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding payment queries and discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulations.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and assist in audits.
  • Provide leadership and training to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Mining/resources industry experience advantageous but not essential.
