Maddington workshop based with site work required on rotation (Kalgoorlie area)

$60.00 per hour flat rate for workshop hours - $132,600 PA

$70.00 per hour flat rate when in the field - $154,700 PA

Workshop is 42.5 hours per week, 6am till 3pm Mon - Thurs & 7am - 4pm Friday

Site hours may vary - up to 12 hours per day

Immediate start - Permanent PAYG Position

The Essentials:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy diesel mechanic in the power generation, mining or construction industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with the maintenance and repair of Cummins generators.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications.
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a wide range of Cummins generators.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues to identify and resolve problems.
  • Conducting inspections, servicing, and repairs on site and in the workshop.

  • Demonstrate excellent diagnostic abilities for accurately assessing issues and providing effective solutions.
  • Maintain a thorough approach to work with high attention to detail.
  • Possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Provide professional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering positive relationships.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Promote and ensure the correct use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Current WA driver's license.
  • Punctual, hands-on and organised.
