Good 2 Go Mechanical are seeking experienced HD Mechanical Fitter – Underground Equipment (Perth Workshop / FIFO Potential)

We are seeking an experienced HD Mechanical Fitter with underground equipment expertise for a secondment based in a well-equipped workshop north of the river in Perth. This role offers stability with local work, while also providing the potential to transition into FIFO opportunities in the future.

About the Role:

• Carry out maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of underground mining equipment.
• Workshop-based role with modern facilities and a supportive team environment.
• Re-build equiptment back to OEM sepc, complete overhauls.
• Opportunity to expand into FIFO site work as projects grow.

What We're Looking For:

• Trade-qualified HD Fitter.
• Proven experience working on underground equipment (e.g., loaders, trucks, drills, or similar).
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Great work ethic with a can do atitude always
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment You'll Work On

• Boggers: CAT & Sandvik Underground Loaders
• Underground Mining Trucks: CAT, Sandvik, Atlas
• Drills: Long Haul, Twin Boom, Single Boom Jumbos
• Perform high-quality mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty underground & drilling equipment.
• Address and resolve breakdowns & rouiteen maintenance promptly to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Safety must be your top priority at all times.
• Work effectively as part of a team, meeting deadlines and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• You must currently be living in Australia and have full Australian working rights.
• Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade Certificate. (Aus regognised highly avantagous)
• Minimum 2 years post-trade experience in the mining industry.
• High Risk License's, (LF, WP, CN, DG, RB) Advantagous
• Valid manual driver's licence. (HR Preferred)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screening.
