HD Mechanic – Mining and Earthmoving Equipment

Location: South of River

Rate: $75 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Approx. 60 hours per week

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic for a position, South of the River. This role involves maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a broad range of surface mining and earthmoving equipment in a workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and breakdown repairs
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Work on a diverse fleet including dozers, excavators, graders, etc.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic (Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years post-trade experience working on heavy earthmoving and mining equipment
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems
  • Experience with surface mining and earthmoving gear highly regarded
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team
