
Sales Account Manager

Purpose:
Drive distributor growth and strengthen long-term relationships across the 4x4 automotive sector. The role focuses on building trust-based partnerships that convert to sustained sales growth and brand loyalty.
Location: Office in Armidale NSW
Core Responsibilities
Relationship Development
- Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with distributors, dealers, and key retail partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring consistent communication and proactive support.
- Partner with accounts to identify growth opportunities, solve problems, and align on shared goals.
- Develop distributor business plans and co-investment strategies to deepen engagement.
Sales Growth
- Grow the distributor network within the 4x4 and outdoor automotive categories.
- Deliver against monthly and quarterly sales targets through strategic account planning.
Account Management
- Conduct regular account reviews covering performance, stock, marketing activity, and future potential.
- Monitor sell-through data and provide actionable insights to optimise product mix and inventory flow.
Market & Brand Development
- Collaborate with marketing on co-branded activations, product launches, and field events.
- Represent the brand at trade shows, exhibitions, and partner training sessions.
- Gather market intelligence to inform product strategy and competitive positioning.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain detailed CRM records of pipeline, opportunities, and partner interactions.
- Provide accurate forecasts and sales reports to management.
- Use data-driven insights to prioritise relationships with the highest growth potential.
Required Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated success in relationship-based sales
- Knowledge of vehicles and/or experience in the automotive market.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Commercial acumen with data-driven decision-making capability.
- Proficiency in technology
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events.
Performance Metrics
- Distributor satisfaction and retention rate.
- Annual growth of distributor revenue.
- Expansion of active partner base.
- Accuracy of forecasts and CRM compliance.
- Market share growth within target regions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
