About Lapstone Preschool
Lapstone Preschool is a 36-place centre providing high-quality early childhood education for children aged 3–6 years. Operating for more than 50 years and set within beautiful bushland at the foot of the Mountains, our preschool fosters children's creativity, confidence and sense of belonging. With a spacious main classroom, a rich loose-parts environment and a dedicated Bush Kinder Base Camp, we offer a nurturing and inclusive space where every child can thrive.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate Cert III Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract (possible 12mth extension based on funding). In this role, you will play a key part in supporting children during these formative years and engaging families as partners in their child's learning journey.
This role begins 29 January 2026 (Term 1 start).
As a valued educator at Lapstone Preschool, you will be supported through coaching, mentoring and opportunities for professional growth, including close guidance from our Educational Leader.
About the Role
You will contribute to a child-led program grounded in the Circle of Security model, supporting children's physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. Working collaboratively with our team, you will help create a warm, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Build strong, respectful partnerships with families
• Set, monitor and evaluate educational goals
• Participate in programming, observations and curriculum planning
• Support inclusive practices and respond to individual learning needs
What We're Looking For
• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Current First Aid certificate
• CPR training including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management
• Current Child Protection qualification
• Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check
• Strong skills in educational programming, including observations and curriculum planning
• Experience supporting children with additional needs (highly regarded)
