THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Parts Interpreter & Internal Salesperson to support our team with day-to-day service operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, a keen understanding of process and systems improvement, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Our core business is the service, supply and installation of Loading Dock Equipment including dock levellers, roller doors, gates, barriers and more. The role is office-based in Singleton NSW.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately identify parts and components based on customer or technician requirements.
  • Assist customers (both internal and external) with parts inquiries via phone / email
  • Interpret parts from manuals, electronic catalogues, and technical diagrams.
  • Order and receive parts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular stocktakes.
  • Process sales transactions and prepare invoices or quotes.
  • Liaise with suppliers and logistics companies regarding part availability and delivery.
  • Keep detailed records of orders, returns, and backorders.
  • Provide support to service staff with timely supply of parts.
  • Uphold company policies regarding warranty and return procedures.
  • Continuously update product knowledge and industry trends.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team and management

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter and/or Internal Sales (preferred).
  • Proficiency in using electronic parts catalogues and inventory systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, inventory software).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in customer service and stakeholder management
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills
  • Practical thinking and a "hands on" mindset
