About us:

The company was established in 2006 and offers a wide range of engineering consulting services to the commercial and residential sectors, being particularly well known for our work in residential concrete pool engineering design across South East Queensland and throughout Eastern Australia. We also have extensive experience in custom designed homes and extensions, townhouses and multi-storey units, shopping centres, childcare centres and industrial buildings.

As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team.

About the role:

As a Construction Project Manager at the company, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. You will work closely with our engineering team and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

What you will do:

  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to execution and final completion.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Manage and coordinate project resources, including labor and materials.
  • Monitor project progress regularly and take corrective actions to address any delays or deviations from the project plan.
  • Communicate effectively with all project participants to ensure clear understanding and alignment on project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Prepare and submit detailed project reports, documentation, and invoices as required.
  • Lead and motivate the project team to achieve high levels of productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with clients and suppliers as needed to maintain project momentum and achieve successful outcomes.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager in the engineering or construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of project management software and tools.
  • Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of construction.
