Century Engineering is a dynamic Australian engineering solutions provider. We are a leading supplier of special purpose equipment and components to the Mining, Defence, Power, and Water industries.

Due to our continuing development and success in key industry sectors, we are looking for an experienced Welding Supervisor for day shift to join our manufacturing team in Edinburgh North.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess the following criteria:

As a minimum we require AS1796 Certificate 10

AS 2214 structural steel welding supervisor would be advantageous but not a necessity.

  • AS1796 Cert 10 Familiar with the following current standards:

    ASME B31.3 and ASME IX, AS3992, AS1554, AS4458, AS4037
  • Familiar with BHP standards & specs would be advantageous.
  • Self-starter that takes pride in the end result.
  • Demonstrate a solid awareness of OH&S practices.
  • A commitment to working to a high standard.
  • Be a motivated and punctual person.
  • Required to work in a team environment.
  • A positive attitude.
  • The ability to work unsupervised.

Tasks & responsibilities
  • Day to Day welding supervisor duties
  • Manage welding consumable and material management
  • Welding traceability mapping
  • Manage welder qualifications
  • Run weld procedures
  • Welding Inspection
  • NDT requests and compliance
  • Reporting through visual reports and weld certified statements
  • Assisting with estimating and scheduling
