About the role

This is a full-time Case Officer role based in Canberra with IRARA, a provider of immigration support services. As a Case Officer, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality, tailored support to migrants in the community.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage a caseload of clients, providing individual support and intervention to promote positive outcomes
  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs and implement appropriate plans
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate service delivery and facilitate access to required support and resources
  • Maintain detailed case notes and records in accordance with organizational and program requirements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery through feedback and participation in team meetings

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role, preferably in the community services sector
  • Minimum 1-2 years of case officer or case management experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for clients
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a complex caseload
  • Commitment to upholding ethical principles
  • Australian citizens or permanent residents only
