Your new role

As a Senior Project Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic and operational projects. Working under limited direction, you will manage straightforward projects, contribute to planning and reporting, and provide specialist advice to ensure successful outcomes. You may also lead a small team, set priorities, and support capability development.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing and coordinating project plans, schedules, and budgets

* Preparing reports, business cases, and executive briefs

* Supporting procurement, contract management, and risk mitigation

* Coaching and mentoring team members

* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment

* Contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

* Demonstrated experience in project or program support within a structured framework

* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

* Ability to lead and develop team members

* Proficiency in project tools, reporting, and documentation

* Sound judgement, resilience, and the ability to manage competing priorities

* Knowledge of government service delivery models and relevant legislation is desirable.
