Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What You'll Be Doing
The Pacifica Hub aims to improve the mechanisms, systems and processes for supporting the Pacific Community in WSLHD to access appropriate health care.

The Project Officer's primary responsibility is to oversee the establishment and implementation of the Pacific health Hub. The project office will drive the coordination and implementation of activities in consultation with relevant staff and services to enhance access for Pacific communities to appropriate health services.

The project officer will work with relevant services within the LHD to deliver the best care to Pacific people and work with them to achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

The Pacific Hub Project Officer will be working with a wide range of stakeholders and be responsible for Implementing and supporting key initiatives of the Pacifica Hub.

Essential Criteria

  • License: Current NSW drivers licence.

Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor level qualification in a relevant health discipline and at least 3 years post-graduation experience.
  • Demonstrated successful track record in project management including change management and implementation methodology, reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Pacific Communities in WSLHD.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work in partnership with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills, written and verbal, negotiation, report writing and research skills.
