About This Role:
We are seeking an experienced communications professional to lead our external communications efforts across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
This is a high-impact role where you will manage media relations, act as a company spokesperson, and represent our organisation in front of customers, media, and industry stakeholders.
You will shape our reputation across the Pacific by developing and delivering strategic communications campaigns, producing compelling content for our channels, organising high-profile events, and coordinating crisis communications when required.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in communications, including strategy, media relations, content creation, events, internal communications, brand, and social media.
They will also possess strong English writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, impactful messaging.
A proven ability to interact confidently with journalists, senior executives, government officials, and customers is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple projects, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and thrive in a dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the annual Communications Plan for the Pacific with clear, measurable objectives.
- Manage and strengthen our media relations across the region, serving as a company spokesperson as part of the global 24/7 team.
- Liaise with customer communications teams to ensure alignment and support for joint initiatives.
- Produce engaging and high-quality written and visual content for our channels, including employee communications and digital platforms.
- Organise high-profile events such as product briefings, demonstrations, and senior executive engagements with government and industry stakeholders.
- Manage PR agencies and communications suppliers to ensure effective delivery of activities.
- Support crisis communications in tight coordination with our global communications organisation.
- Support regional leaders with speeches, public appearances, and social media contributions.
- Ensure alignment with APAC and global communications through accurate reporting, planning, and content contributions.

About You:
We are looking for an experienced communications professional who brings both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Arts, or related field, and extensive journalistic and/or corporate communications experience.
Knowledge of the Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Islands media and stakeholder landscape is essential.
