Role Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu development and execution.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and teamwork.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Oversee kitchen operations during service, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
What we would love from you:
- Prior experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen. Venues in up-scale dining would be advantageous, not necessarily hatted.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for food.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and best practices.
- Food safety and hygiene certification.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
