The Environment Advisor will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations supporting operations with a major mining client. This Perth-based position, is a great opportunity for an experienced environmental professional seeking opportunities to expand their mining experience or to take on a temporary position while seeking a longer-term opportunity.

Client Details

Our client is a major mining client with operations across WA. They have a large environmental and compliance function with a focus on both environmental performance and forward-looking approvals and projects.

Description

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and report findings effectively..
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders on environmental matters.
  • Prepare and review documentation for environmental approvals and permits.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics.
  • Support the organisation's broader environmental goals and objectives.

Profile

A successful Senior Advisor - Environment should have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, environmental management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in environmental advisory roles, particularly within the energy and natural resources sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical reports and documentation.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Experience in contributing to sustainability and environmental initiatives.
