Job Description
Nielsen is the global leader in audience measurement, data, and analytics, providing the most complete and trusted view of consumers and markets worldwide. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our Platforms team, a group dedicated to building and growing relationships with the world's leading technology and media platforms.
In this pivotal, client-facing role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding key relationships with some
of Nielsen's most strategic clients, including global giants like Google, Netflix, Amazon, Meta, and Apple. You will act as a trusted advisor, a strategic partner, and a sales leader, driving the adoption of Nielsen's suite of audience measurement, content analytics, and media planning solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the digital media and advertising ecosystem, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and the ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder organizations. You will be instrumental in helping our clients leverage Nielsen's data to optimize their content strategies, prove ad value, and make critical business decisions in a rapidly evolving media landscape
Qualifications
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of strategic platform clients. Develop and execute comprehensive account plans that align with client business objectives and Nielsen's growth strategy.
- Revenue Growth: Drive and exceed revenue targets through a combination of product renewals, upsells, and the identification of new business opportunities within your assigned accounts.
- Consultative Sales: Act as a subject matter expert on Nielsen's offerings, including Nielsen ONE ads, Advanced Audiences and their application within the platforms industry. Conduct in-depth discovery conversations to understand client challenges and articulate the value of Nielsen's data-driven solutions.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, executive-level relationships with key stakeholders across various client teams, including product, engineering, ad sales, and content.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including Client Success, Product, Data Science, and Operations, to ensure seamless client delivery, product adoption, and a superior customer experience.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and client developments to provide strategic insights and recommendations to both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Sales Operations: Maintain a clean and accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools like Salesforce, and provide regular, data-driven updates on account performance and forecasts.
- Onsite Requirement- Hybrid work mode
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics).
- 8 years of experience in a sales or account management role, preferably within the media, advertising, or technology sectors.
- Proven experience selling data, analytics, or SaaS solutions to large, complex organizations.
- Deep understanding of the platforms ecosystem, including digital streaming, social media, and advertising technologies (AdTech/MarTech).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to C-suite executives and technical audiences.
- Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- A self-starter with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Candidates based in Sydney will be preferred.
