We currently have a vacancy for a Business Manager across cybersecurity. This role has a focus on building a strong MSSP business for the vendors through building and executing a sound program of recruitment, enablement and MSSP acquired end users.
As a Business Manager, you are personally accountable for the success of Tech Data's business performance for the particular cybersecurity vendor(s) allocated to this position.
In this role, you'll be well supported in your role with a dedicated team and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
These can be summarised as follows:
- understands the strategy, plans and priorities of the vendor(s) and turns that into our Tech Data business plan and profit maximisation strategy.
- Responsible for recruitment and enablement of new partners and ongoing enablement of existing partners
- gives clear direction to the sales, marketing and pre-sales teams about what to do and how to succeed with the vendor(s).
- uses all data sources to manage performance to Key Performance Indicators.
- follows the "what? so what? now what?" mantra and runs forward looking QBRs and all vendor operational interlocks.
- Actively seeks out ways to boost sales and grow share of wallet.
- Builds strong personal relationships across the Vendor(s) and with key partners.
- While responsible for revenue outcomes, the Business Manager position is responsible for managing a group of technologies and has the overarching relationship with the vendor.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Our Business Managers need the following to be successful:
- Bachelor's Degree qualification would be preferred.
- Minimum High School certificate.
- Diploma in IT or related field would be highly regarded.
- Minimum 6 years' experience within IT distribution as a Vendor Business Manager, or an outbound account manager, or Business Development Manager with a customer service orientation.
- Appropriate vendor product sales certifications or ability to achieve as part of the role.
- A good understanding of the channel business and existing Security reseller partner relationships as well as MSP/MSSPs in Australia or New Zealand.
- A solid understanding of cybersecurity technology would be highly regarded.
- Good presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, devise process and manage time and prioritisation.
- Superior communications skills and ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external customers/vendors.
