Job Description
BESIX Watpac are looking for a Construction Planner to join our NSW Construction team supporting our project delivery teams. Duties will include;

  • Lead the management and preparation of construction planning and programming including:
  • Assist Project Managers and site teams in sequencing works, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
  • Preparation of contract / target / tender programs.
  • Program monitoring and updating
  • Program resource analysis.
  • Preparation of program status reports.
  • Management of program delay analysis.

Qualifications
The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Proficiency in construction scheduling software (e.g., Asta, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and models.
  • Understanding of the commercial requirements associated with the tender process.
  • Proven ability to manage several complex tasks simultaneously to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business with a particularly strong internal customer focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to deliver accurate programs in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven experience in construction planning, project management, or scheduling
  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost control practices in construction projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to for see potential project delays or issues and address them proactively.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within the construction industry.
