Our client is an award winning Australian Head Contractor with a track record of delivering bespoke construction projects for over thirty five years, ranging from $20M to $150M+. The organisation is highly regarded within the industry and they have built a reputation for multi-award-winning projects, exceptional attention to detail, and long-standing client relationships. Over the past several years they have experienced sustained growth through repeat business and successful project delivery. Having established themselves for the past few decades, they continue to operate as a privately owned and operated business and have numerous public sector and private sector repeat-business clients. The founding Directors are highly regarded industry figures, and the careers on offer within the business are second to none – top-tier project work, whilst being mentored and trained by the best leaders in the industry.

As they continue to expand, they are seeking two experienced Estimators / Cost Planners with expertise across a range of commercial, mixed-use and residential projects, to support the Pre-Construction and Estimating team in overseeing a broad range of tenders. Recent project wins for the business have ranged from $20M to $100M+ and include residential, mixed-use residential projects and broad range of large commercial projects such as education projects, hospitals, hotels, offices, retail, leisure precincts, aged care, data centres and office blocks.

Key Requirements for this opportunity include:

  • A minimum of five years' experience estimating or cost planning for a Developer Builder or Head Contractor – sub contractor Estimators will also be considered based on their project / tender experience and success rates
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • A track record of successful tendering on Commercial and/or Mixed-use Residential projects $10M and above – Fitout and Refurbishment Estimators will still be considered.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing site-based teams, liaising with clients, and overseeing subcontractors
  • Experience mentoring more Junior Estimators / Cost Planners will be favourable, although not essential
