We are seeking a highly organised Project Scheduler/Planner to implement and oversee project schedules. In this role, you will be collaborating with project managers, Project controls team, stakeholders, setting tasks, and monitoring the execution of project timelines, cost profiles. You will also prepare project progress and performance evaluation reports and earned value management reports.
Key responsibilities:
- Create, review, update and administer construction schedules and plans
- Liaise with customers to review and align project plans to their schedules
- Work to prepare reports and updates for internal project reviews
- Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, base line, status, and perform measurement baseline.
- Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports: Gantt, milestone charts, and other tools used to support critical path analysis, near-term tasks work, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances, and to support cost/schedule integration
- Work in collaboration with project management team to drive consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting
- Liaise with engineers, project managers and other project team members to keep plans updated and identify project issues
- Gather and analyse information to prepare reports on the progress of projects. Frequent on-site visits to review construction progress required
- Support the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects, including dashboard maintenance
Key experience & capabilities:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience using MS Project, Primavera P6, Asta knowledge of cost estimating, tracking and control
- Some hands-on experience with enterprise-wide cost accounting system, SAP – preferred
- Knowledge of MEP practice as part of the construction industry
- Demonstrated ability to work projects of greater than $10M and/or with greater than 25 staff delay and facilitating intervention in a timeous manner
- Suggest management of risks affecting project profit, costs, schedules and client relations
- Support project management team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems.
