We are looking for a part time Project Accountant to join our team in Sydney. The role will be on a contract basis for 6-12 months with the possibility to transition to a permanent role in the future.

Jetransit Pty Ltd is Australian-owned and operated, specializing in rail transport vehicle components and subsystems. The company focuses on integrating low-cost overseas content with local content to deliver best-value solutions that meet local compliance standards.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Accountant based in Sydney, NSW. The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Tasks include tracking project expenditures, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and project specifications. Additionally, the Project Accountant will prepare financial statements, monitor cash flow, and support the financial decision-making process within the company.

Qualifications

  • Financial Accounting, Budgeting, and Forecasting skills
  • Experience in Financial Reporting and Compliance
  • Project Management and Coordination skills
  • Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is desirable
