About the Role:

The Administration and Projects Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative support to the Mission Enhancement Team (MET). This role is vital for ensuring the smooth running of daily operations by organising meetings, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also contribute to the planning and coordination of a range of mission projects and programs within the scope of MET

About you:

As the ideal candidate for the Administration and Projects Coordinator role, you are a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a proven track record of providing comprehensive administrative support. You excel in time management, possess strong communication skills, and are highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. Crucially, you demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality, and you have a personal commitment to the ethos and values of the Catholic Church.

Key Responsibilities

·       Executive Support: Providing comprehensive administrative support directly to the Head of MET.

·       Communication Management: Monitoring, distributing, and replying to correspondence.

· Scheduling & Events: Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating mission, pastoral, and team events.

·       Meeting Management: Preparing and circulating agendas, taking meeting minutes, and following up on action items for team meetings.

·       Council Coordination: Assisting in the coordination of the Diocesan Pastoral Council.

·       Financial & Resource Management: Completing monthly credit card reconciliations and coordinating bookings and supplies for the Bishop Bede Heather Centre.

·       Content Coordination: Coordinating the production of the monthly MET newsletter.

Essential Qualifications


• Valid Driver Licence


• Be willing to complete additional employment screening, including a Working with Children Check, as required by the Diocese.

Skills and Experience

·       A demonstrated commitment to the ethos and values of the Christian faith

·       High level computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office suite competently

·       Accurate and efficient data processing skills

·       Demonstrated experience in providing a range of administrative support (prior administrative experience in a multi-disciplinary work environment is preferred)

·       Highly effective written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail

·       Demonstrated time management and organisational skills

·       Proven ability to work confidentially and productively with a high level of tact and diplomacy

·       Ability to work well in a team, to model and demonstrate constructive working relationships and information exchange across the organisation

·       Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands and priorities

·       A demonstrated commitment to customer service

·       Knowledge and understanding of contemporary reception and customer services practices

·       A demonstrated personal commitment to the ethos and values of the Catholic Church
