Business System Analyst

About the role
We're partnering with a high‑performing, ISO‑accredited finance services firm to hire a Business Systems Analyst who will review, maintain and improve the systems and processes that keep the business running. You'll work closely with another BSA and report into the Head of Operations & HR, driving current‑state analysis, workflow optimisation, data integrity, and user experience across a modern SaaS stack.
What you'll do
- Map current state across ~20 platforms and identify bottlenecks, gaps and improvement opportunities
- Optimise core systems: FYI Docs, Xero Practice Manager, ApprovalMax, Adobe Sign, Expensify, Syft Analytics, Mailchimp
- Lift data quality & UX by refining processes, simplifying steps and standardising controls
- Enable features/integrations and small automations to reduce manual effort and errors
- Document everything: system maps, SOPs, training guides and runbooks that stick
- Support and coach users; triage issues, build capability, and reduce support noise
- Champion governance: ensure privacy, security and data‑governance standards are met
- Collaborate broadly: partner with Operations/HR and interface with IT and department leads
What you'll bring
- Track record improving business systems and workflows across multiple SaaS platforms
- Process mindset: discovery, mapping, hypothesis‑driven improvements and measurement
- Strong documentation and plain‑English communication skills
- Comfort working autonomously (no heavy project bureaucracy) and owning outcomes
- Background in finance/HR/workflow systems helpful (coding not required)
