We're looking for a General Manager to keep The Blue Room Theatre running smoothly, efficiently, and with integrity.
You're an experienced manager who understands that strong systems are the backbone of a thriving organisation. You're confident in managing finances, HR, compliance and risk, and you know how to create clear processes that support people to do their best work.
As General Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of our busy venue and organisation — leading budgets, contracts, policies, reporting and operational systems. You'll ensure that our work is accountable, transparent and sustainable. You'll support and manage a skilled team, setting clear expectations, maintaining high standards, and fostering a safe and respectful workplace.
Equity and justice sit at the heart of how we operate. You bring this lens to your decision-making, ensuring our processes are fair, inclusive and accessible for staff, artists and members alike. You understand how organisational systems can either exclude or empower — and you choose to build systems that enable equity.
You're steady under pressure, organised, and detail focused. You build trust through reliability and clear communication, and you're skilled at balancing multiple priorities in a complex environment.
