About the Opportunity
As a Senior Employee Relations Advisor, you will provide specialist ER support to leaders across all Metcash sites by case managing employee relations matters. You'll play a key role in building leadership capability, ensuring compliance, and driving positive workplace outcomes.
We have flexibility for this role to be based at any of our sites around Australia.
In this Role, You Will:
• Manage end-to-end employee relations cases, including performance management, misconduct, grievances, absence management, and investigations.
• Guide, mentor, and coach leaders on employee relations matters to build capability and confidence.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with legislation, industrial instruments, and company policy.
• Provide practical tools, scripts, and templates to support leaders in handling ER cases.
• Review and give feedback on documentation, ensuring effective and structured conversations.
• Escalate complex or high-level matters to relevant stakeholders as needed.
• Identify trends, recommend proactive solutions, and support process improvements.
• Represent Metcash at external tribunals and contribute to ER frameworks, processes, and project work.
You're Likely a Match If You Have:
• Strong experience in a similar role
• Proven ability to manage complex employee relations cases end-to-end
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to coach leaders and improve capability
• Experience working across and influencing stakeholders at all levels
• Track record in developing strong relationships internally and externally
