Make a difference as an Employee Relations Policy and Governance Specialist.
Join the largest general insurance group in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. We're a top-tier ASX-listed company helping to make the world a safer place through creating a stronger and more resilient business and enabling our portfolio of iconic insurance brands.
Your Role
As a Specialist in Employee Relations Policy & Governance, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how IAG responds to evolving employment legislation and ER entitlements compliance. This is a strategic, high-impact position where your expertise will guide the development and implementation of policies that ensure fairness, legal integrity, and operational excellence.
You'll lead key workstreams across enterprise-wide ER initiatives, including:
- Enterprise Agreement and Award interpretation, and employment law implementation, translating complex legal frameworks into clear, actionable policies and guidance.

- Designing and delivering change programs that embed new legislative requirements across the organisation, working closely with Legal, Payroll, and People & Culture teams.
This role offers the opportunity to influence policy at scale, contribute to enterprise transformation, and be a trusted advisor in one of Australia and New Zealand's largest insurance groups.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Gadigal Country (Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne). While the role is location-specific, we welcome applications from candidates outside Sydney and Melbourne who are open to relocating. Please note that relocation support is not provided, so any move would need to be self-managed.

- A strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and proactively resolve them.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation.
- A proactive approach to staying across changes in the external environment and translating them into internal action.
If you're ready to take on a role that drives real change and challenges you to lead with purpose, we're ready for you.
