We are seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team at Sinnamon Park Medical Centre, 1-2 days a week. As a casual Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients. You must be available to work Friday's, plus another day during the week. Hours will be rostered between our business hours of 6:45am and 7:00pm
What you'll be doing
- Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's appointment calendar
- Answering and directing incoming phone calls
- Collecting patient information and maintaining accurate electronic records using Best Practice software
- Assisting with medical billing and administrative tasks as required
- Ensuring the reception area is tidy and well-organised
- Providing general support to the clinical team as needed
- Opening and closing of the clinic
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within a healthcare setting
- A minimum of 1-2 years of medical receptionist experience is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients, doctors and other staff in a professional and empathetic manner
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Competence with medical terminology and electronic medical record systems
- A friendly, helpful and proactive attitude
- A commitment to providing high-quality customer service
- Australian citizenship is required for this position
