Permanent | Full-Time | Brisbane

$30 – $35 per hour

Full-time roster: Monday - Friday between 7:00am - 6:00pm, plus one rotating Tuesday late shift (to 8:30pm).

As demand for our services grows, we are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team. This patient-facing role is key to creating a welcoming environment and ensuring the smooth flow of each clinic day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet, check in, and discharge patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Accurately manage patient bookings, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
  • Process billing for Medicare, DVA, health funds, and private accounts
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely data entry
  • Respond to patient and healthcare provider enquiries (in person, phone, and email)
  • Support clinical staff by ensuring front-of-house processes run smoothly
  • Uphold privacy and confidentiality at all times

About You

You are an organised, reliable, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a busy clinic environment. You enjoy providing outstanding patient service and bring both accuracy and efficiency to your work.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in medical reception/administration (specialist clinic experience highly regarded)
  • Familiarity with medical software such as Best Practice Premier (strongly preferred)
  • A high level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-first approach
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative, team-focused mindset and willingness to support across sites
