Senior Medical Receptionist (Permanent Part-Time)

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our small, dedicated team. This is a permanent part-time role (ideally 3 days per week) within a very busy Obstetrics & Gynaecology practice supporting five specialists.

About the Role

The successful applicant will work closely with our doctors and team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating theatre and caesarean bookings, including arranging the medical team.
  • Quoting, preparing, and organising theatre lists.
  • Reception duties: answering phones, scheduling and confirming patient appointments, welcoming patients on arrival, and billing after consultations.
  • Scheduling appointments for both new and returning patients.
  • Supporting doctors by attending to requests and gathering all necessary patient information.
  • General administrative support as required.
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (preferred but not essential).
  • Familiar with Genie medical software (advantageous).
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented.
