About the role
The role of an ICT Coordinator is critical in supporting the operations for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) sector. By working collaboratively with IT Directorate, the role ensures regulatory staff are technologically equipped to effectively support ECEC services and improve outcomes for children.
Your responsibilities:
- Undertake system design, development and testing of technology to ensure it meets business needs.
- Provide staff with advice and guidance on effective technology use.
- Collaborate with staff to identify improvements and development of new technological systems that optimise regulatory functions and operations.
- Manage software and anti-virus update to protect sensitive data.

About you
As the ICT Coordinator, you will bring a customer-centred approach to the role, coupled with strong ICT and change management experience. Your ability to understand business needs to design and implement system solutions will directly support the ECEC sector.
You will also demonstrate:
- Proven experience in building and maintaining engagement with stakeholders across diverse business areas
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret and translate technical information into plain language
- Effective time management and ability to balance multiple competing priorities and deliver on time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, with strong excel skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of all types of UAT across all phases.
Key knowledge and Experience
- Has relevant tertiary IT qualification but not essential
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- A valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
