What we're Looking for:

  • Ability to work autonomously and independently
  • At least 2 years' experience in bookkeeping
  • Be proactive and solution focused
  • Intermediate Microsoft suite experience
  • High attention to detail with ability to self-check work
  • Onboard with our company mission
  • Works to deadlines
  • Ability to effectively prioritise
  • Xero experience essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

What You'll be doing:

Reporting to the Senior Bookkeeper, your duties will be to perform a range of general accounting functions across a broad range of clients in diverse industries.

Including;

  • Using Xero, maintaining financial records, keeping track of accounts, and verify the accuracy of procedures used for recording financial transactions Reconciling client bank accounts
  • Accounts payable management including entry of supplier bills
  • Scheduling of supplier bills in line with client payment runs, monitoring duplicate bills, preparation of supplier batch payments and reconciliation and resolution of statements, and liaising with suppliers of clients as required.
  • Recognising client income
  • Preparation of client payroll and processing of superannuation
  • Communication with clients to follow up outstanding queries
  • Assistance with onboarding of new clients and project work
  • Assist in driving continuous improvement within the organisation
  • Assisting in general office administration duties
  • Communicating and collaborating with other bookkeepers in the team to ensure team bookkeeping deadlines are met for the day
