About the role

On Point Utility Locating Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Field / Utility Surveyor to join our team in Sydney , NSW. As a full-time role, you will play a crucial part in our construction projects, using your expertise to accurately locate and map underground utility networks.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting comprehensive site surveys to identify the location and depth of underground utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and telecommunications cables
  • Producing detailed utility maps and reports to inform construction planning and ensure the safety of our projects
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely information
  • Maintaining all necessary survey equipment and ensuring it is calibrated and in good working order
  • Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualification in Surveying or a related field (Tafe applicants accepted)
  • Experience as a Field / Utility Surveyor in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of underground utility location techniques and survey equipment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • A valid driver's licence and ability to work independently on-site
