About the opportunityWe are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive tenders. You will contribute commercial expertise, analyse subcontractor and supplier packages, and ensure estimates and submissions reflect the scope of works and Abergeldie's standards.
Day to day you will:
- Attend site briefings, inspections, and tender kick-off meetings.
- Review tender documentation and scope of works.
- Assist in developing cost estimates and risk registers.
- Prepare subcontractor and supplier packages, ensuring head contract pass downs are captured.
- Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring competitive coverage.
- Support professional, compliant tender submissions.
- Maintain accurate cost records, reporting, and contract administration.
- Contribute to innovative, value-added engineering solutions.
What you'll bring to the team
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong commercial and numerical skills with an eye for efficiency and cost minimisation.
- Knowledge of contract specifications and construction standards.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
