About the role

As a Utility Locator at On Point Utility Locating Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in safely and accurately locating underground utilities to support infrastructure projects across Sydney and NSW. What you'll be doing

  1. Utilise advanced equipment and techniques to locate and map the position of underground utility assets such as cables, pipes and pipelines
  2. Provide detailed reports and mark-outs of identified utility locations to support the planning and execution of construction projects
  3. Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of utility location activities
  4. Adhere to all health, safety and environmental guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
  5. Continually expand your technical knowledge and skills through training and professional development

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 1-2 years' experience in utility location or a related field
  2. Strong understanding of utilities , mapping, CAD software and blueprint interpretation
  3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to accurately identify the position of underground utilities
  4. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a construction environment
  5. Effective communication skills to liaise with project teams and stakeholders
  6. Relevant certificates or training in utility location and occupational health and safety.
