Granny Flats WA is one of Western Australia's most respected and innovative residential builders, specialising in custom-designed granny flats, small homes, and ancillary dwellings. We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship, excellent client service, and efficient project delivery.
We're currently seeking a highly organised and experienced Residential Construction Scheduler to join our growing team. This is a key role responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing construction schedules to ensure our projects run smoothly, efficiently, and on time.
Your Role
As our Construction Scheduler, you'll work closely with Construction Managers, Site Supervisors, suppliers, and subcontractors to coordinate all aspects of our residential builds from initial planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling & Planning
· Develop and manage detailed construction schedules across multiple projects
· Break down project programs into trade-specific milestones and timelines
· Allocate labour, materials, and equipment efficiently
· Ensure all schedules meet client contract timelines and internal goals
Monitoring & Coordination
· Track project progress and adjust schedules as needed
· Liaise with site teams, trades, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery
· Proactively manage risks and delays due to site conditions or weather
· Provide solutions to maintain momentum and minimise disruptions
Communication & Reporting
· Provide clear weekly/monthly schedule updates to management
· Communicate critical path items and key deadlines to all stakeholders
· Maintain records of schedule changes and variations
· Forecast completion timelines and flag any risks early
Systems & Process Management
· Use scheduling tools like Microsoft Project and Procore
· Standardise scheduling templates and processes across projects
· Maintain version control and accessibility for all team members
· Suggest improvements to scheduling and reporting systems
Compliance & Quality Control
· Schedule required inspections, permits, and compliance checks
· Coordinate statutory approvals and third-party assessments
· Align timelines with quality assurance and building standards
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
· Work with Estimators & Procurement to align lead times
· Assist Operations in resource planning and trade forecasting
· Build relationships with subcontractors for dependable delivery
· Help resolve scheduling conflicts and variations
What We're Looking For:
· Proven experience as a Construction Scheduler in residential building
· years in a similar role
· Strong knowledge of scheduling software (e.g. MS Project, Procore)
· Excellent coordination and time management skills
· Great communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Understanding of residential construction timelines, processes, and compliance requirements
