Senior Technical Officer

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Technical Officer - Mechanical to join us in our Operations and Maintenance team in Dandenong, VIC on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Team Leader Asset Operations, you will play a key role in carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance to fixed and mobile plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Check work areas, equipment, and plant for hazards or damage
• Perform routine and repair maintenance, including part replacements
• Find and fix faults and breakdowns
• Read and follow technical drawings and instructions
• Work out time and materials needed, and order supplies when required
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and safe
• Follow safety rules and help train apprentices or team members

Your background

• Recognised mechanical trade qualifications
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems (advantageous)
• Exposure to waterbath heaters or similar equipment (highly regarded)

The Operations & Maintenance team exist to safely operate APA's Gas Transmission assets in an efficient and cost-effective manner to enable APA to achieve its business strategy and goals, extract maximum value from its assets, and deliver value for its customers.
