Position
Business Development Manager (BDM)
This BDM role is based in Australia, reporting directly to the CEO. It is responsible for driving business growth in the company's clinical trial supply chain market in Australia, establishing and maintaining strategic client relationships, and promoting the implementation of regional strategies and financial forecasting.
Key Responsibilities

Strategy:
Partner closely with the CEO to shape and execute the strategic growth plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives and supporting long-term strategy and financial forecasting.
• Sales:
Take ownership of the full sales process—from identifying opportunities and developing proposals/quotes to finalizing contracts and overseeing project handover.
• Coordination:
Work collaboratively with the project management team to prepare and deliver accurate change order quotes and contracts within required timelines.
• Negotiation:
Lead the preparation, drafting, and negotiation of critical commercial documents, including proposals, quotes, Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), and Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
• Operations:
Oversee and enhance business development tools and systems, such as the CRM and sales pipeline, to maximize efficiency, track performance, and support growth initiatives.
• Representation: Act
as a brand ambassador for MaH at industry events, strengthening market visibility and building partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, CROs, biotech startups, and research organizations. Generate new leads through networking and targeted marketing campaigns.
• Execution:
Ensure a seamless transition from contract signing to project delivery by clearly defining scope, setting expectations, and enabling flawless execution.
Candidate Requirements
• Education:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Business, or a related field; PhD highly desirable but not essential.
• Experience:
Preferably 5+ years in business development, with exposure to the pharmaceutical clinical trial supply chain, Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisations (CDMOs), or CROs.
• Regulatory Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Network:
Established connections with pharmaceutical companies, CROs, biotech firms, and research institutions.
• Skills:
Proven business development, negotiation, and team leadership abilities.
• Mindset:
A strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture, identify market opportunities, and demonstrate strong cross-cultural communication and an international outlook.
Relationship Building: Excellent ability to build rapport and trust with clients and internal teams.
• Collaboration:
Strong ability to connect and communicate with colleagues across all functions of the business.
• Organisation:
High attention to detail with strong prioritisation and workload management skills.
• Attitude:
Positive, can-do mindset with a proactive approach.
