Your role

You will lead and manage business analysis activities on behalf of the program team to support the reform and ultimately business improvements and productivity. You will promote best practice and innovation working in a multidisciplinary team undertaking assessment and analysis of business systems and processes. Your responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis activities and business process modelling activities within a regulatory setting.
  • Provide strategic and operational advice to the Senior Accountable Officer and Program Manager regarding project direction, risks, issues and change impacts.
  • Lead information and requirement gathering discovery sessions with the business, program and delivery teams to ensure there is detailed understanding of systems and process.
  • Lead and manage technical designs in consultation with the business, product managers and technical leads to provide practical solution designs to increase automation of business processes and systems.
  • Identify opportunities for optimisation, digitisation and automation of systems and processes based on business requirements.
  • Promote best practices by actively reviewing technical documentation, including regulations, standards, system and process designs.
  • Produce high-quality guidance material, support tools and resources linked to regulations to aid case management and transitional arrangements.
  • Contribute to relevant submissions, briefings, policy documents and reports as required.

Your skills and experience

  • Previous experience (5+ years) in a business analysis or analytical role in a complex project environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated strong written communication skills including the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex issues and risks in high level documentation including reports, briefings, business cases and service level agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team of people to provide consistent, responsive and high-quality advice and program support.
  • Strong organisational skills and demonstrated experience working in a rapidly changing and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach.
  • An excellent attention to detail with a logical approach to problem solving and an investigative and inquisitive mind.
