The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Business Engagement Officer to lead stakeholder engagement and support IT investment planning.

In this role, you'll work closely with teams across government and industry to shape technology projects, develop business cases, and drive innovation that aligns with the department's digital strategy. It's a great opportunity to influence digital transformation and build strong, collaborative relationships.

About you

You're a strategic communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a keen ability to align technology with business needs. You bring analytical thinking, business case development experience, and a solid understanding of emerging technologies. Proactive and adaptable, you confidently lead change and deliver practical, innovative solutions in complex environments.

Special Conditions

  • A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
  • Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

Tenure of Vacancy

Temporary contract for 12 months with potential for extension.

ASO7 - $108,109 to $116,864 pa + superannuation
