With manufacturing facilities in Victoria (Epping & Maryborough), New South Wales (Kirrawee), Queensland (Nerang), South Australia (Dublin) and multiple sales and warehouse / distribution offices Nationally, due to continued business growth, an excellent opportunity now exists for an experienced Logistics Coordinator, to join our Epping based head office team.

The Opportunity:

The Warehouse Logistics Coordinator position is responsible for the administering of document control functions within Edlyn Foods warehouse management systems and coordinating all warehouse administration functions as well as assisting required staff and ad-hoc warehouse duties as required.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, this pivotal role will be involved in the daily management of a wide variety of Warehouse duties, with some of the key responsibilities of this position including (but not limited to):

  • Planning, coordinating and controlling the dispatch of goods from the Epping site.
  • Generation of transport paperwork, coordinate and book transport.
  • Ensuring dispatch goods meet all requirements including paperwork, time frames and labelling.
  • Analyse freight costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Following up on any transport/distribution delays and outstanding orders.
  • Liaising with customer service, sales and operations teams, along with third-party transport providers.
  • Organising and prioritising tasks to ensure deadlines are met accordingly.
  • Upholding the high safety standards of the site predominantly with issues related to transportation, Chain of Responsibility and Load restraint compliance.
  • Export administration including preparation of Export Declarations, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin and checking for specific export permits.
  • Assist in the monitoring of all aspects of the warehouse operations, assisting with general warehouse enquiries.
  • Ensure order accuracy through tight management principals

Who we are looking for :

We are seeking a highly organised and dynamic individual with proven experience coming from a logistics, warehousing or transport environment, ideally within the FMCG, food manufacturing or distribution sectors. The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of the following qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years preferred) working in logistics coordination, transport scheduling or warehouse administration.
  • Proficient in using computer-based inventory management systems, ERP platforms and Microsoft Office applications (with strong Excel spreadsheet skills essential).
  • Exceptional coordination and communication skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and professionalism.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (COR) compliance, transport regulations and load restraint requirements.
  • Demonstrated capacity to proactively manage tasks independently, taking initiative and problem-solving effectively.
  • Clear, confident and professional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mindset with experience identifying cost-saving opportunities in transport and freight management.

We are looking for an individual that above everything can demonstrate proven commercial warehouse/logistics analytical administration ability and an eagerness to learn. An appropriate salary package will be offered to attract and retain the best applicant for this role.

As the Edlyn site is based in the northern suburbs with no immediate access to public transport close and available, access to your own transport for the daily commute to the site, will also be highly beneficial (with plenty of free on-site parking available).
