Join a team that moves the nation — safely.
We are a leading provider in the transport and logistics sector, and we're committed to delivering excellence — not just in service, but in safety.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Safety Coordinator will be responsible for supporting, coordinating, and enhancing workplace health and safety (WHS) initiatives across our national network.
You'll work closely with site managers, depot supervisors, and frontline staff to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, internal safety policies, and industry best practices. This is a hands-on role where you'll be engaging with teams, investigating incidents, and driving proactive safety improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee WHS initiatives, policies, and procedures nationally.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety systems and compliance frameworks.
- Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend improvements.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs across multiple sites.
- Maintain accurate safety records and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Partner with operational leaders to drive a strong safety-first culture within the business.
- Stay up to date with WHS legislation and ensure compliance across all states and territories.
About You
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a WHS, Safety Coordinator, or similar role (transport and logistics experience preferred).
- Relevant WHS qualifications (Cert IV in Work Health & Safety or higher desirable).
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to influence and build relationships across all levels.
- Confident in delivering safety training and leading safety initiatives.
- Ability to travel nationally as required to support sites and operations.
