Our client is a global automotive leader with a long history of delivering innovative vehicles to markets worldwide. Their Materials Planning & Logistics (MP&L) Vehicle Logistics team is responsible for the efficient distribution of imported vehicles across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Logistics Coordinator to join the MP&L Vehicle Logistics team. In this role, you will coordinate the logistics and conversion activities, oversee in-country vehicle modifications, and establish efficient processes for ad-hoc transport requests.

This is a 12 months full-time contract role, working across suppliers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure vehicles are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the conversions process from left-hand drive (LHD) to right-hand drive (RHD), including weekly planning, daily execution, vehicle traceability, cost tracking, and supplier audits.
  • Oversee in-country vehicle modifications through company facilities or third-party suppliers, ensuring wholesale targets and budgets are achieved.
  • Develop and implement a process for ad-hoc transport requests, including systems, approvals, and cost efficiencies.
  • Coordinate vehicle movements via road, rail, and coastal shipping, ensuring safety standards and compliance are met.
  • Collaborate with finance, quality, sales planning & distribution, and supplier partners to deliver on business goals.

About You

  • Strong background in transport and logistics (finished vehicle logistics highly regarded).
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills (Excel, Visio, project management).
  • Hands-on, independent, and detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with diverse local and international stakeholders.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence with the ability to travel between sites, suppliers, ports, and compounds as required.
  • Based at North West suburb of Melbourne: 4 days on-site, 1 day WFH.
  • Flexibility to travel to suppliers, storage facilities, and ports when required.
  • Initial training period will be full-time on-site.
