Role Summary

Toshiba is seeking a Junior Project Controller to work in our Power Generation team, reporting to our Project Governance Manager. This role will focus on managing project costs and schedules to ensure our projects are delivered in line with financial expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions with the use of our internal software.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to project teams and senior management.
  • Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets and contractual requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Coordinate with project managers to align timelines, resource availability, and critical path tracking.
  • Identify financial and scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Track project progress and performance against key financial and scheduling metrics.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall project performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for financial and scheduling matters related to assigned projects.
  • Communicate financial results, forecasts, schedules, and issues to project teams and senior management.
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in project controlling, financial analysis, or scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software is required.
  • Strong financial and schedule analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to remote or regional project sites for extended periods. Additional allowances will be provided as per company policy.
