White Chaco is a modern and vibrant Asian fusion restaurant known for its creative dishes and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a talented and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Asian fusion cuisine, have strong leadership skills, and be capable of managing a busy kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Asian fusion dishes in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Design and update menus, introducing new and creative dishes that reflect the restaurant's fusion concept.
  • Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, portion control, and plating standards.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain consistency and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Monitor food inventory, manage stock rotation, and ensure accurate ordering of ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure all dishes meet food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to control food costs, reduce waste, and achieve profitability targets.
  • Maintain equipment and kitchen cleanliness, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years Asian Cuisine work experience and Chinese cuisine cook preferred.
  • Complete the course of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
